Rambling around Rathmullan
It is not always perfect conditions to go surfing here in Donegal so when the swell drops off and we end up getting a few flat days its always great to go and dabble in different extreme sports.
If any of you know me I am not the type of guy who sits in the house much, id rather be outside and planning the next adventure, anything from adventure races , triathlon ,surfing, cycling, paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, trail running, hiking. Sure we have it all here on our doorstep. So I thought I might as well share these experiences, so keep an eye out for our blogs over the next few months on our adventures around Donegal.
Rambling around Rathmullan is a short edit made mountain biking around the small coastal village of Rathmullan, not known for its mountain bike trails more for its beautiful beach, cheerful locals on the pier and award wining Kinnegar craft beers. There is no fancy signposts telling us were to go and how many kilometers it is, we are purely freestyling it and taking the tracks less taken with a bit of local knowledge of when to stop for a farmers gate. Good old Donegal winter weather windy, wet, snow, mucky makes its all that little bit more Epic!
